Bonnie's Family
Bonnie is the very proud mother of two sons, Charley and Andy. Both attended Carson City schools and were involved in soccer, Little League and Carson High football and baseball.
Charley graduated from Carson High in 1988. He then attended Arizona State University where he received a BA in Political Science. Charley and his wife Leslie live and work in Chicago. Charley is the Regional Vice President of Government Affairs for Midwest Generation and Leslie is Vice President of Training and Development at LaSalle Bank. On the weekends this summer, they will be enjoying their new lake house in Michigan. They will also make time to visit Carson to campaign for Bonnie.
Andy graduated from Carson High in 1993. He graduated from Northern Arizona University with a BA in Public Relations. He and his wife Shelley reside and work in Phoenix. Andy is the Director of Outreach and Communications for NPower Arizona and Shelley is a Senior Partner at BJ Communications. Besides visiting Carson to work on Bonnie’s campaign, they will be swimming in their new pool in the backyard of their 1930’s home in downtown Phoenix. Andy will also be busy at work maintaining this Web site with his friends at Design 44!
Bonnie is thrilled that her brother, Cliff Dunseth, has recently moved to Carson City. After a long government career, culminating with a position at the Organization for the Prevention of Chemical Weapons at The Hague in the Netherlands, he chose to retire in our wonderful community. He is happy to finally be a member of the Bonnie Backer’s team!
Bonnie’s family is very active in her life and political career. They are all very proud of her achievements and support her efforts on behalf of District 40.
