When I was informed that Sand Harbor State Park had not received funding for a patrol boat, I acted. With the numbers of local families who go to enjoy a day at Sand Harbor, I thought that it was frightening to think that if someone was lost or hurt, the Park Rangers would have no vehicle to respond to an incident. I was able to secure $19,500 for a new patrol boat in AB 703, section 36. The boat has a plaque in it which reads "Bonnie’s Boat."

When a school teacher asked me why the Pledge of Allegiance was not required in Nevada's public schools, I looked into it. What resulted was passage of a bill which requires that the Pledge of Allegiance be recited daily in our schools.
